Photonics Fair for Girls

On October 1, CEI, Women in Chemical Engineering, the Society of Women Engineers, Women in Chemical Sciences, and Husky Gamers hosted a Photonics Fair for young women in grades K-12. Over 50 girls (including a few Girl Scout troops) participated  in our demos meant to excite them about exploring STEM topics. Young visitors created thin films, made solar spinners, raced solar cars, used lasers, and played a wireless video game showing photonics at home.
