Lithium Diffusion in Vanadium Dioxide Nanobeams
Present Lithium Ion Battery is limited by how fast lithium and other small ions goes in and out the electrodes. Vanadium Dioxide as a unique system can provide visually monitoring of the motion of lithium ions inside. Through studying the diffusion process of lithium ion in vanadium dioxide nanobeams, we could better understand the process that limited the speed. It is directly related to the CEI in terms of energy storage. It’s also very important for the basic understanding the first order phase transition in vanadium dioxide, which has been well investigated for a long time in the lab.
